Les Quatre Cles is a longere that was once part of a farm complex but is now the idyllic location for 2 lovely renovated gites. Situated off a quiet country lane in the Don valley, the two gites have been created in the restored building to provide all your creature comforts for a wonderfully relaxed self-catering holiday in a tranquil but not isolated location. The gites are set in a large garden with plenty of space for sunbathing and this year half our field is now grassed over for guest use as a recreational area.  Outside each gite there is a paved patio separated by trellis fencing for privacy with a BBQ and a wooden picnic table with parasol. As the property is not totally enclosed, young children would need to be supervised.

The gites benefit from a large library of DVDs, books and indoor games for less clement weather as well as outdoor games; we have now added table tennis and a boules pitch for your entertainment as well as other bat/ball equipment. These are all available for guests free of charge. We also have 2 all terrain bikes, available for hire at a reasonable daily or weekly rate, as well as 2 ladies shoppers free for popping into town to get those fresh morning croissants.   We also provide bedding, linen, tea towels, towels if requested and a large array of cleaning products, loo & kitchen rolls, bin bags, laundry detergent & softener, condiments - in fact all the things you don't want to buy a stock of just for a holiday. We try to go the extra kilometre so that you won't have to.

La Glycine

La glycine (Wisteria) is the first and larger of the two gites, whether a full on BBQ or just a glass of wine while listening to the birdsong in the evening, you can just feel the stress melting away. The thick stone walls make it a cool place in summer and a cozy retreat in winter.

Comfortably furnished with a large sofa, bouncy armchair, coffee table, rug and TV (DVD only), CD/tape player/radio, dining table and chairs to seat up to 5. Wonderful log burner for those cooler evenings.  

The kitchen contains an electric cooker with oven, toaster, microwave, electric kettle, fridge/freezer, washing machine and all necessary pots, pans, crockery, glasses, cutlery and utensils. A raised child's seat can be provided.

The spacious romantic master bedroom is on a mezzanine floor in the converted loft (grenier) and has a vaulted ceiling with exposed ancient oak beams, bedside tables with lamps, a set of drawers, cheval mirror, clothes hanging area and, an en-suite shower room with WC and basin.

The twin bedded room is downstairs, accessed by a couple of steps down from the living room. It has a set of drawers with bedside lamps, a wardrobe and an en-suite bathroom with shower, WC, basin and bidet. We have a baby's travel cot and folding bed available as well.

Le Chevrefeille

Le Chevrefeille (Honeysuckle) is a little smaller with a slightly different layout. Still a perfect place for al fresco dining or just chilling out.

The living area has 2 two seater sofas, a wood burning stove, coffee tables, lamp, rug, TV for DVDs only with DVD player and a CD/tape player/radio. The table seats 4. The log fire makes cooler evenings a cosy and relaxing experience.

The kitchen is fully equipped with washing machine, electric cooker with oven, microwave, toaster, electric kettle and all necessary pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and utensils.

Upstairs the light and airy master bedroom is on a mezzanine, with a vaulted ceiling and ancient oak beams, bedside tables with lamps, set of drawers, cheval mirror and clothes hanging area. An en-suite shower room with WC and basin completes the picture.

The twin bedroom is down a couple of small steps off the living room. It has a clothes hanging space, chest of drawers with bedside lamps and has an en-suite shower room, WC and wash basin.

The newly extended cottage is detached and stands in an acre of land, there is a large patio area leading into the garden and it contains a bench seat, picnic table, BBQ, an ornamental well and washing line. Sun loungers are also provided. The large garden is not fully enclosed so children will need supervision. Also for this reason we do not allow dogs as there are many farms in the vicinity.

The beautiful new living room has French doors onto the garden, a high vaulted ceiling and a wood burner but still retains all the coziness of the original cottage making it an all year round holiday let.  With a three & a two seater sofa, TV (receives satellite free 2 view BBC channels plus some others), Video, DVD player, CD/tape player/radio, an extensive selection of books, games, videos, DVDs and CDs, there's plenty to relax with indoors.

In the original cottage there is now a lovely kitchen/dining room with a table seating 6 with plenty of space for all the family.

The kitchen is fully fitted with modern units and an electric hob, fan assisted oven, extractor fan, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, toaster, cutlery, crockery, glasses and utensils.

The ground floor bedroom has twin beds, set of drawers, clothes hanging space and an adjoining family bathroom with washing machine, iron and ironing board.

The first floor spacious and romantic master bedroom has a vaulted ceiling with exposed oak beams, a wardrobe and a chest of drawers, a dressing table, a period chair to enjoy the views from and an en-suite shower room with basin and WC.

There is also a lovely small bedroom with views over the garden, containing a single bed. A baby's travel cot, changing mat and raised seat are also available.
